Dalton Logistics is situated in Earth City, Missouri and serves as the St. Louis Distribution Center for CRST Specialized Transportation Inc., one of the largest padded van carriers in the United States. Our specialization includes transporting electronics and high-value products, offering lift-gate, inside pickup and delivery services, (white glove service) as well as dedicated drop-and-hook runs.

Job Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and professional Local Drivers A and E to join our team at Dalton Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently within designated routes. The position offers an opportunity to work with a reputable logistics provider committed to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and a focus on delivering high-quality service. You must have two years driving experience (CDL), a clean driving record, and be able to pass a hair test going back 100 days, which tests for prescription medications, illegal drugs and marijuana. You will need a clean background; due to our military base work we provide.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to pass a hair test going back 100 days. Clean background- no felonies- we do military base work. Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions, our current fleet is all Hino. Load and unload freight providing white glove services Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules and traffic laws. Handle freight securely during transit to prevent damage or loss. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance. Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working environment.

Skills:

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery routes involving freight transport. Proficiency in operating box trucks or semi -trucks. Ability to work 45 hours a week Strong knowledge of load & unload procedures and freight handling. Ability to maneuver tractor-trailers/box trucks safely in various environments. Familiarity with route planning/Apps Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type (Class A or E). Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations.
