Carbon Activated Corporation, a leading provider of activated carbon solutions, is seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves the safe and timely transportation of activated carbon products to and from customer sites, warehouses, and processing facilities. The driver will ensure load security, vehicle compliance, and excellent service to maintain our high standards in the industry.Key Responsibilities:
Transporting Activated Carbon Loads:
Safely transport activated carbon loads to designated locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Plan and navigate routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic and transportation regulationsSecuring and Tarping Loads:
Properly secure, strap, and tarp loads to prevent shifting or exposure to weather conditions. Inspect load security at each stop to maintain safety standards throughout the journey.Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance:
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including engine, tires, brakes, and securing devices. Identify and report any issues or malfunctions to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with DOT standards.Loading and Unloading Assistance:
Assist with loading and unloading of activated carbon products, including supersacks and drums, using forklifts or other equipment as needed. Ensure safe handling of products to avoid damage and maintain product quality.Documentation and Compliance:
Complete all required paperwork, including logs, inspection records, and shipping documents accurately. Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and Carbon Activated Corporation's policies for transportation and safety. Activated carbon change outs Additionally, the driver will be asked to assist with activated carbon change outs on site. Training will be provided.Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Tanker endorsement is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, including load securing and tarping. Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial vehicle compliance. Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Excellent time management skills and customer service orientation. Drug and Alcohol free work environmentPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical tasks such as securing loads and assisting with loading/unloading. Ability to work in various weather conditions.Benefits:
