Job Description
Company Information:
M & H Gas is the Midwest's largest independently owned distributor of Beverage Grade CO2, Nitrogen, Blended Beer gas, and Helium. We are currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated, quick-thinking local delivery driver for the greater Kansas City area. The delivery driver will be required to drive a straight truck to customer locations to deliver gas in various forms, including cylinder. The driver will be asked to manage on-call phone and perform other duties as needed. Must be able to work alone and have a strong willingness to work and handle customers with a positive attitude.
Work Schedule:
Mon - Thu (11:30 am - 10 pm) Job Duties will include but are not limited to: Load truck prior to leaving on route Prepare manifest for load Drive to customer locations to deliver gas for that location (approximately 25-35 customers per day) Offload gases Collect payment if needed Re-load truck Use dolly to move cylinders of gas Duties around the shop to be determined Cover on-call schedules as assigned Work overtime as needed Handle after-hour phone while working Other job functions may be assigned
Job Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills: Previous Bulk CO2 delivery experience preferred, but will train right person CDL Class A or B (required) Tanker Endorsement (required) Air Brakes Endorsement (required) Hazmat Endorsement (required) Current DOT Medical Card Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Safe driving record Experience with pressurized systems preferred Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times a day Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a CDL Class A or B commercial vehicle
Compensation:
$30.26 hr with $2 differential ($28.26 during training)
