Job Description
Job Summary We are looking to hire a local CDL-A driver with tank endorsement. Local work. Hours vary, so semi-retired would be ideal, or someone who is okay with working variable hours. We will guarantee 30 hours minimum per week, if more work is available hours will increase as needed. Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Safely drive straight truck & tractor trailers, load & unload tanks using hoses & sometimes a gas pump, be able to climb tanks & check levels, bend, stoop & stand. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before and after each trip. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving schedules effectively. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatcher and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
