Job Description

US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, is seeking a CDL Local Driver to safely deliver food and supplies to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers in your area. In this fast-paced, performance-driven role, you'll operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on local routes, load and unload products, ensure accurate and timely deliveries, and provide excellent customer service. You'll follow strict DOT and food safety standards, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain delivery documentation, and collaborate with operations teams. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL tractor-trailer for local deliveries to foodservice customers Load, unload, and verify products against delivery documents Follow all DOT, company safety, and food handling regulations Provide professional, customer-focused service at each stop Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and electronic records Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, or issues Secure loads properly and handle products to prevent damage Support warehouse and routing teams as needed Adhere to performance, productivity, and on-time delivery standards Required Skills CDL Class A driving Local route navigation Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting DOT compliance and hours-of-service Load securement Material handling equipment operation Electronic logging and delivery systems Time management and routing efficiency Customer service in B2 B settings Safety and hazard awareness
