CDL Class "A" Line Haul Driver Eastern Metal Supply is in Chicago!! EMS is one of the largest domestic distributors of Custom and Standard Aluminum Extrusions. We are expanding and are in need of an experienced CDL Class A Line Haul Driver!

This is an overnight position:

St Charles to Chicago and back.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title: Operate company trucks on public roads to transport EMS Material Operate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with generally accepted practices of safe driving Complete a driver's logbook and vehicle inspection report according to DOT regulations Inspect vehicle and required equipment to determine safe operating conditions prior to departure Check load to determine if it's properly secured and safe Backup truck to loading platform; turn narrow corners; negotiate narrow passageways; keep truck and trailer under control particularly on wet or icy highways Wear safety equipment when handling material Safely load and unload cargo as required Maintain the truck in a clean and safe manner Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:
