Job Description

Quality Custom Distribution is seeking a St. Charles Local Driver to safely deliver temperature-controlled food products to quick-service restaurant customers. In this on-site role, you'll run local routes from our St. Charles facility, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate DOT logs, and handling freight with care. You'll load and unload product, verify orders, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries while upholding strict safety and compliance standards. As part of a team-oriented, safety-focused culture, you'll support operational excellence and provide professional, customer-centered service every day. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicle on local St. Charles delivery routes Transport temperature-controlled food products to restaurant customers Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete DOT logs Load, unload, and secure product using proper material handling equipment Follow all safety, DOT, and company compliance standards and procedures Maintain delivery accuracy, verify orders, and obtain required documentation Provide professional, customer-focused service at each delivery location Report mechanical issues, delays, or route problems promptly to dispatch Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives Required Skills Commercial driving Route planning Defensive driving DOT compliance Electronic log systems (ELD) Temperature-controlled freight handling Pallet jack operation Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Time management Customer service
