Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate diverse routes will ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, mining, or infrastructure projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including specialized loads such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Load and unload materials manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling in compliance with logistics cargo handling standards. Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations accurately and on time while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Load, secure, and unload freight safely, ensuring compliance with truck loading and unloading procedures for different types of cargo such as tractor-trailers or tanker loads. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with truck loading/unloading techniques and manual handling skills. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods. Experience operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems efficiently across diverse routes including OTR routes. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and manual transmission operation.
