Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover, load, and transport vehicles safely and efficiently Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles to facilitate towing or recovery when necessary Secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit Conduct vehicle inspections before and after towing to ensure safety standards are met Assist customers with vehicle loading & unloading, providing clear communication and excellent customer service Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle recovery towing, cargo securement, and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle, location, and services performed Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving or car towing with a valid driver's license suitable for operating heavy-duty tow trucks Mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks and vehicle recovery towing techniques Strong understanding of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading procedures Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions is preferred Ability to manage conflict professionally when dealing with distressed customers or challenging situations Prior experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus but not mandatory Embark on a career that combines your passion for driving with your mechanical aptitude!
