Job description: D&H Trucking is a family owned and operated trucking company that is looking for a Class A Truck Driver to join our team in the Washington, MO area. The primary responsibility of this position is to pick up and deliver palletized freight in a safe and timely manner. This position will operate a company truck with a valid driver's license, class A CDL, Hazardous Materials endorsement, and DOT Medical card. Liftgate and pallet jack work is required. Candidate must be able to confidently back up to loading docks many times per day.

Requirements:

CLASS A CDL

License

HAZMAT ENDORSEMENT

(or must be able to obtain within 60 days of employment)

• Clean driving record
• OPERATE a 10 speed manual
• BACK UP to 10-15 docks per day
• Basic forklift operation preferred

Duties:

DELIVER AND PICKUP

palletized freight in a safe and timely manner OPERATE a pallet jack and liftgate when needed OPERATE both single axle and tandem axle day cab tractors

NAVIGATE

new areas by mapping and planning route PULL 28', 48', and 53' van trailers INSPECT equipment and document on your

DVIR COMMUNICATE

with dispatch with updates / problems / delays

ORGANIZE

paperwork for 10-20 during route ensuring it is completed correctly by both driver and customer

REPRESENT

the company with a positive attitude
