Role:

Bridge Community Development Center Mississippi is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Driver to join our IDD Day Program team in Cleveland, MS. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing safe, reliable transportation and a friendly face every day.

Responsibilities:

Safely transport IDD program participants to and from the day program facility and community destinations Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning program vehicle at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns Follow established routes and schedules while adapting to participant needs Communicate effectively with program staff regarding participant status, incidents, or concerns Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and agency policies

Requirements:

Valid Mississippi driver's license with a clean driving record Experience transporting individuals with IDD, disabilities, or special needs preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Patient, compassionate, and dependable demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and secure adaptive equipment is a plus
