26-Foot Box Truck Gill Family Logistics LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver to operate company equipment on OTR routes. We are looking for dependable drivers who take pride in safe driving, maintaining the equipment, communicating with dispatch, and completing deliveries on time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of verifiable truck-driving experience Valid Mississippi Driver's License Current/active DOT Medical Card Must successfully pass a pre-engagement drug test Must successfully pass a background check Must meet company and insurance requirements for driving Safe and responsible driving history Reliable transportation to and from the assigned truck Ability and willingness to travel OTR Professional communication and dependable work habits
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate a 26-foot box truck Transport and deliver freight according to assigned loads and routes Complete required vehicle inspections Maintain accurate delivery and load documentation Communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and other issues Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the assigned vehicle Follow applicable DOT regulations and company safety requirements Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
COMPENSATION
Starting compensation: $800 per week, with the opportunity for increased compensation based on driving experience, performance, and assigned routes/loads.
IMPORTANT
This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. Applicants must have at least 1 year of truck-driving experience, a valid Mississippi driver's license, and an active DOT Medical Card. Applicants must successfully complete the company's required screening process, including drug testing and background screening.
