Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Ready-Mix Truck Driver to deliver ready-mixed concrete to various job sites. The ideal candidate will operate a concrete mixer truck in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring timely delivery and quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to work at designated time and location. Maintain cleanliness of trucks and chutes. Ability to follow directions, maps, and GPS. Climb in and out of trucks safely multiple times daily. Operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction sites; Back into site, drop chute, and add chutes as needed for pour and work with contractors and owners at the job site. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Load and unload concrete according to specifications and safety guidelines. Communicate with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs. Clean and maintain the truck and mixer drum after deliveries. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Provide excellent customer service on job sites.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A or B. Must be at 21 years old with a clean verifiable driving record for the past two years. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience (ready-mix experience preferred). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions. Be able to work nights and weekends to meet business needs. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions. Strong communication and time management skills. Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes. Air brake endorsement. Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Early morning shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime may be required.
