Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver specializing in roll-off and dump truck operations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for transporting waste materials, debris, and other loads efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills, will ensure smooth route execution and positive interactions with clients. Responsibilities Operate Class A commercial trucks, including roll-off and tractor trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws. Safely load, unload, and secure materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with air brake and mechanical standards. Drive assigned routes efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on traffic laws, safety protocols, and hazard materials regulations when applicable. Load and unload materials manually or with mechanical assistance such as front-end loaders or roll-off containers. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel consumption, maintenance issues, and route activities. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs, addressing concerns promptly. Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks to identify mechanical issues early and report repairs needed to the maintenance team. Follow safety procedures diligently during outdoor work activities involving heavy lifting or hazardous materials handling. Adhere strictly to hazardous materials regulations when transporting regulated substances. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar commercial vehicles. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and solid waste management practices. Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance checks. Experience with route driving in urban or municipal waste management settings preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and defensive driving techniques. Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities. Manual transmission experience is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates adaptability. $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
