Job Summary 828 NexCoven Logistics, LLC is seeking reliable, professional Independent Contractor Drivers to provide transportation and delivery services for our business and commercial clients. Drivers will represent 828 NexCoven Logistics while completing scheduled pickup and delivery assignments. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver packages, equipment, supplies, and other authorized items safely and on schedule. Complete assigned routes and follow delivery instructions. Communicate professionally with customers, businesses, dispatch, and company representatives. Verify pickup and delivery information when required. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and proof of delivery. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload items as applicable. Maintain a clean, safe, and reliable vehicle. Immediately report delays, incidents, vehicle issues, or delivery concerns. Protect customer information and company property. Follow all applicable transportation, safety, and traffic regulations. Independent Contractor Requirements Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation appropriate for assigned routes. Current auto insurance meeting applicable requirements. Clean and safe driving history. Smartphone with reliable cellular service. Ability to use GPS/navigation and electronic delivery platforms. Ability to pass any required background or motor vehicle screening. Professional appearance and communication. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to meet assigned pickup and delivery deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Previous courier, delivery, transportation, logistics, or route-driving experience. Experience working with businesses, medical facilities, dealerships, retailers, warehouses, or other commercial clients. Knowledge of Mississippi, Tennessee, and/or Arkansas service areas. Oversee menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection that balances creativity with operational feasibility while maintaining cost control. Manage food production processes, including food handling, preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high-quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold rigorous health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service while exceeding client expectations. Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and oversee inventory management to minimize waste and optimize resources. Implement food service management strategies that enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall operational success. Maintain detailed records of shift activities, incident reports, and inventory logs for accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining menu integrity. Oversee kitchen sanitation practices and ensure adherence to all health codes related to food safety and sanitization procedures. Experience Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry, preferably as an Executive Chef or similar leadership position. Extensive background in fine dining cuisine with strong culinary skills in cooking, food preparation, and presentation. Demonstrated success managing large teams in fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environments. Experience with banquet operations, catering services, and event planning is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory control systems, cost management strategies, and food industry best practices. Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and coordinate across departments. Previous experience managing dietary accommodations and working within a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred.
