Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local/Regional Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates should have a strong driving background, familiarity with different truck types, and the ability to handle load and unload tasks as needed. Duties Safely operate trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles on local routes Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel efficiency Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch as necessary Assist with forklift operation when required for loading or unloading cargo Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while maintaining high safety standards Comply with all federal, state, and company transportation regulations Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type (manual transmission experience preferred) Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery Experience operating various trucks such as flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off truck is highly desirable Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual handling or forklift equipment Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving Strong driving skills with a clean driving record Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when necessary Prior experience with freight transportation and delivery driver roles preferred Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road This position offers a dynamic work environment where safety and reliability are paramount.
