Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a valid driver's license.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including vans, box trucks, and tractor-trailers
- Load and unload goods from vehicles
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a warehouse or delivery setting
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
