Job Description

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with St. Peter's Health in Helena, Montana, to find a dependable and service-oriented Equipment Technician to join their Home Oxygen & Sleep Supplies team. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital respiratory and hospice equipment to patients in need—helping improve lives in the comfort of their homes.
Position Overview:
Under minimal supervision and the direction of the department director, the Equipment Technician is responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining oxygen and respiratory equipment in patient homes. This role ensures equipment is safely installed, thoroughly explained to patients and caregivers, and regularly maintained, while maintaining compliance with safety, infection control, and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and set up oxygen, respiratory, and hospice equipment within a 60-mile radius Educate patients and caregivers on equipment usage and safety protocols Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform maintenance or replacements as needed Clean, disinfect, and function test returned equipment before reuse Collect complete and accurate patient, medical, and billing information Maintain documentation including delivery logs, consent forms, route sheets, and home assessments Assess patient home environments for safety hazards Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups with patients, families, and care facilities Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control procedures Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe, and operational condition Participate in on-call rotation and random drug/alcohol testing Attend required training, certifications, and department meetings
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Prior experience working with medical gases or home care delivery preferred
Licensure/Certification:
Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license with clean driving record Annual certification in CGMP training for oxygen transfill system, ServoMex oxygen analyzer, and oxygen delivery processes required
