Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that keeps goods moving efficiently across diverse routes! As a vital link in our logistics chain, you will operate various types of trucks—including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers—delivering freight safely and on time. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and exceptional route management will ensure our customers receive their shipments promptly. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is properly balanced and protected during transit. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules. Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, refrigerated items, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments while adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Load and unload cargo accurately at delivery points, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with logistics cargo handling protocols. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or adjust routes as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a focus on freight transportation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for tanker, hazmat, or other specialized loads preferred. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers used in logistics cargo handling. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation vehicles is highly desirable. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload operations with attention to safety procedures. Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently while maintaining focus on road safety.
