Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Front Load Driver and become a vital part of our waste management operations! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized front loader trucks to efficiently collect and transport waste materials from commercial and municipal sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, safety protocols, and customer service will ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. This position offers an engaging outdoor work environment where your skills directly contribute to community cleanliness and sustainability. Responsibilities Safely operate front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, and roll-off trucks to collect waste from designated routes. Load and unload waste materials using front-end loaders or mechanical arms with precision and care. Follow established routes, traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation laws to ensure timely pickups. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checks on air brake systems, manual transmissions, and mechanical components to maintain optimal performance. Adhere to safety protocols during all operations, including heavy lifting, hazardous materials handling, and outdoor work conditions. Interact professionally with customers during pickups, providing excellent customer service while addressing any concerns or questions. Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and vehicle maintenance records for compliance and operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for air brake operation and manual transmission preferred. Solid knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including front-end loaders and mechanical arms used in waste collection. Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards related to solid waste management. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent driving skills with defensive driving experience; route driving experience is highly valued. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and hazard awareness during all tasks. Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Physical stamina for outdoor work activities involving manual load & unload tasks.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
