What You'll Do:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The Driver III is responsible for the safe and efficient local pickup and delivery of scrap material in various on-road equipment. This role operates tractor-trailers and straight trucks, completes required daily vehicle inspections, and utilizes computer and mobile applications to receive and complete load assignments. Duties of the role include but are not limited to: compliance with all state/FMCSA regulations Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Perform daily inspections of truck and report any defects or needed repairs to manager. Clean vehicle as needed. Perform local pick-up and delivery of roll-off containers or other assigned loads. Drive tractor-trailers and straight trucks. Utilize both computer and mobile apps for load assignments and completion.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
Class A CDL license. Clean Motor Vehicle Report. 3 years of driving experience.
