Primarily local routes with home-daily opportunities; occasional overnight stays may be required only when necessary. About Us King & Queen City Trucking LLC is a growing trucking company serving North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. We are looking for a dependable, experienced flatbed CDL truck driver to join our team. Position Overview We are seeking a professional driver with at least 2 years of CDL driving experience and hands-on flatbed experience. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, and comfortable securing, tarping, and transporting freight. This position is primarily local, and drivers will generally return home daily. However, occasional overnight stays may be required when necessary based on the route, customer needs, or delivery schedule. Responsibilities Operate a tractor-trailer safely on local routes. Load, secure, tarp, and transport flatbed freight. Properly tarp loads using tarps, straps, chains, binders, and other securement equipment. Safely climb onto and work around flatbed trailers while tarping and securing loads. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies. Maintain accurate logs and delivery paperwork. Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch. Keep the truck and equipment clean and well maintained. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL. Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience . Previous flatbed driving experience required. Demonstrated experience securing and tarping flatbed loads. Ability to properly secure freight using chains, binders, straps, and tarps. Clean and safe driving record. Reliable transportation to work. Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of flatbed work, including tarping and securing loads. Flexibility to stay out overnight occasionally when required by the route or delivery schedule. Pay and Benefits Starting pay at a competitive percentage-based rate . Potential for a pay-rate increase based on performance, reliability, safety, and experience. Benefits may be available after 90 days of employment , subject to company eligibility requirements and plan terms. Primarily local routes with home-daily opportunities.
