Job Description
The Orange County Solid Waste Management Department openings for a Solid Waste Collector Driver. The work involves the responsibility for collecting and transporting solid waste and/or recyclable materials from residential and commercial properties, which may include operating automated side loader, front-end loaders, rear loaders, and other vehicles that require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Unit Supervisor with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties, Supervision or acting as a leadworker may be a responsibility of this class depending on the assignment. Does related work as required. This distinct classification requires a CDL Class B driver's license.
