START YOUR DRIVING CAREER WITH A CDL B PERMIT
No commercial driving experience? No problem! You do not need years of experience or a full commercial driver's license to begin a driving career. A CDL B permit can be your first step toward paid training, hands-on experience, and a long-term opportunity with Furnitureland South. We are looking for dependable, customer-focused candidates who enjoy hands-on work, are ready to learn, and want to build an in-home delivery career in transportation.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN EXPERIENCED DRIVER TO GET STARTED
Paid training and on-the-job guidance are designed to help you learn the role, build confidence, and understand delivery expectations. After initial training, you will be partnered with a lead driver to build your experience.
WHY CONSIDER HOME DELIVERY DRIVING?
Stay active and spend your workday on the road, not behind a desk Work alongside a delivery partner on team-based deliveries Earn an average of approximately $65,000 per year, with opportunities to earn more by taking additional delivery trips Expected overnight travel of two nights weekly No-cost CDL training and test preparation, plus paid, hands-on experience while you train Travel through parts of the country on rotating routes in the Mid-Atlantic region Receive per diem for hotel accommodations when overnight travel is necessary
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Load, transport, deliver, and set up home furnishings for customers Provide friendly, professional, white-glove service in customers' homes Help inspect furniture and verify delivery contents Maintain required vehicle logs and follow DMV and DOT requirements Perform active work, including lifting up to 150 lbs.
