Job Description

HEPACO is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator / HAZMAT Truck Driver to support environmental remediation, industrial cleaning, and emergency response operations. In this field-based role, you will safely operate vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, and other heavy equipment to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Responsibilities include following DOT and HAZMAT regulations, performing spill response, site cleanup, tank cleaning, and waste handling while maintaining rigorous safety and compliance standards. You'll work in varied outdoor conditions, participate in on-call emergency rotations, and receive ongoing training with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities Operate Class A CDL trucks and heavy equipment for environmental projects Transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with DOT and HAZMAT regulations Perform spill response, environmental remediation, and industrial cleaning tasks Conduct safe loading, unloading, and transfer of wastes and materials Complete required logs, manifests, and documentation accurately Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards Participate in on-call emergency response rotations and overtime as needed Required Skills Class A CDL truck driving HAZMAT handling and transport Knowledge of DOT regulations Heavy equipment operation (vacuum trucks, roll-offs, etc.) Spill response and environmental remediation Industrial cleaning and tank cleaning Load securement and material handling Reading and completing manifests and logs PPE use and safety compliance Basic vehicle and equipment inspection/maintenance
