401(k) 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Vision insurance Pay Starts at $22.00/hour Depends on Experience Thomas Enterprises is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A Multi-Skill Driver to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who is flexible, reliable, and comfortable handling a variety of transportation and freight assignments. The CDL Class A Multi-Skill Driver will safely operate commercial vehicles, transport freight, assist with loading and unloading, complete required documentation, and provide professional customer service. The successful candidate must be willing to adapt to changing assignments and assist with various equipment and transportation needs as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers, primarily dry van equipment. Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Transport and deliver freight safely and efficiently. Load, unload, and properly secure cargo. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Monitor brakes, tires, lights, fluid levels, cargo securement, and other safety items. Complete driver logs, DVIRs, trip reports, and other required documentation accurately. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while maintaining scheduled delivery times. Follow all DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, company policies, and applicable traffic laws. Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, vendors, and team members. Maintain a clean and organized truck and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Assist with different types of transportation assignments and equipment as business needs require. Represent Thomas Enterprises in a professional manner while providing excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid CDL Class A License . Clean and acceptable driving record. Commercial driving experience preferred. Dry van experience required. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission trucks. Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements. Ability to safely load, unload, and secure freight. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and coworkers. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and assignments. Commitment to safe driving practices and customer service.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is primarily a local, home-daily position with occasional overnight travel depending on customer and business needs.
