Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation dedicated to excellence in delivery service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods. Transport automobile parts, freight, or specialized cargo over long distances across various routes while maintaining safety standards. Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods, ensuring proper documentation and safety procedures are followed. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations governing commercial transportation and hazardous materials handling. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and navigation. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading processes. Skilled in route driving across diverse terrains and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures for freight including hazardous goods or dangerous materials. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
