(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Time management Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Jockey Shuttle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for safely moving trailers to and from loading docks, trailer drop lots, and other locations on company or customer property. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of trailer movements to support shipping, receiving, and logistics operations. This role requires a strong understanding of yard jockey and trailer shuttle movements within a busy warehouse and storage lot environment. Responsibilities Have a current CDL Class A and DOT Medical Card. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety compliance. Move trailers between docks, yard, and designated spots in a timely and safe manner. Maintain accurate trailer location records and ensure trailers are staged correctly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and drivers. Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies. Perform basic equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly. Knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and cargo transport. Strong time management skills with a focus on punctuality. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) and DOT Medical Card. Minimum age of 23. Proven experience with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A). Minimum of (1) one year verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience. No more than (4) four moving violations (citations and/or warnings) combined in the past (3) three years. No DWIs, drug/alcohol violations and/or reckless driving violations in the past five years. No preventable, recordable accident that resulted in an At Fault citation in the past (3) three years. Must be able to pass a background screening with no felonies or habitual offender
