Duties Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local delivery routes Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when applicable Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazard-specific protocols Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Load and unload cargo efficiently at various sites, ensuring proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or refrigerated trailers Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for hazardous goods transportation Skilled in GPS navigation systems for precise route planning and real-time adjustments during trips Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently with manual handling skills for cargo management Experience with logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading, and freight management processes Strong understanding of over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and delivery driver responsibilities Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance in commercial driving environments This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated logistics team committed to safety, efficiency, and exceptional service.
