Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling Specialist with a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our materials team. This role involves operating various types of trucks and trailers to transport, load, and unload freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with different trailer types—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks—and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to streamlined material handling operations while supporting the timely delivery of goods across diverse routes. This person will also execute material transfers to kitting and assists in Inventory and Cycle Counts. Responsibilities Drives 53' dry van Truck to destination, minimum of 15 transfers per day Inspects trucks for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck conditions. Maintains Driver Log according to regulations. Pick-up from local Plants and Drop Yard Switching trailers on the yard Maintain all certifications required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety programs. Load and Unload at sites as needed Execute project work for the Super Market as requested. Transfers material to kitting Coordinates and executes Frame with Poly and materials to production area.
Stock materials and supply items:
staples, welt, webbing, skirts, etc. Assist in Inventory and Cycle Counts. Assists in housekeeping of production area. Experience Must have valid Class B CDL license. Clean Driving Record Ability to always operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner Must be able to read and write. Material handling and transfers experience required. Ability to read/understand production tickets. Must have basic mathematical skills to maintain correct inventories, cycle counts, etc. Must be able to communicate with and take directions from Team Lead and Supervisor and fellow employees. Ability to plan for good production/product flow and to reduce shortages of materials needed for production.Pay:
