Responsibilities:
Safely transport non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) clients to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, therapy sessions, and other healthcare facilities Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and client documentation in compliance with NEMT regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers regarding scheduling and trip updates Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements Provide courteous, patient-centered service to elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable passengers
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Previous NEMT, medical transport, or passenger transport experience preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems Strong punctuality, time management, and organizational skills Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
