Transit Driver

Job Overview Martin County has an opening for a part time Transit Driver. Work involves following bus route assignments to pick up riders, assisting riders into and out of the vehicle, securing persons in wheelchairs, enforcing seat belt usage, sanitizing, and washing buses. Pre-dawn and after dark work routes performed. Employee will work according to safety procedures, all traffic laws, and perform tasks under general supervision. Employee may be called upon in case of a disaster, either man-made or natural, to serve the residents of Martin County in ways other than listed above. Must be 21 years of age or older, High School graduate or GED, be a citizen of the USA, pass the criminal background check, pass the drug and alcohol screening. Have a current North Carolina Driver's License. CDL is preferred but not required.
