Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL OTR Hotshot Driver and take charge of delivering critical freight across long distances with energy and precision! As a key player in our logistics network, you'll operate a Pickup truck with a 40' gooseneck ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise will keep our operations moving smoothly while providing exceptional service on every route. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and specialized equipment such as flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Load, secure, and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards and prevent breakdowns or violations. Manage delivery documentation accurately, including manifests, bills of lading, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing updates on route status or delays. Maintain compliance with all trucking regulations related to load securement, and driver hours of service. Requirements Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in over-the-road (OTR) routes involving freight transportation. Familiarity with flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Ability to handle manual loading equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Understanding of FMCSA regulations and DOT rules. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload operations; experience with freight cargo handling is preferred.
