WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Utilities are utilized in a variety of ways throughout the facility. They help with loading & unloading product, driving different equipment, helping in the warehouse, and many others. The candidate must be safety-minded and have good attention to detail. Loads and unloads rail cars and trucks as needed Weighs product for storage in warehouse Cleans in and around equipment as needed Cleans warehouse as needed Drives tractor, lawn mower, forklift, skid steer or other equipment. Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
WHAT WE NEED MUST-HAVES
Ability to become forklift certified Basic math skills
WORK CONDITIONS
Frequently required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 50 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently exposed to a non-climate-controlled environment. Frequently exposed to dust and loud noise. Frequently exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts. Personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, safety glasses, hair net and food safety related items, is required.
