Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Delivery Route Driver and become the backbone of our logistics operation! Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing efficiency across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Deliver freight to various locations, including commercial businesses and distribution centers, while ensuring the safe transport of food and beverage products as cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure and after arrival. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in accordance with DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and company policies. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling is essential. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks. Understanding of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and dangerous goods transportation standards is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided. Commitment to following DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure safety at all times. Physical ability to lift heavy cargo safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly during loading/unloading processes.
