You'll be the vital link in our logistics chain, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers to transport freight across local routes. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems and traditional mapping to follow designated routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes when required. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, cargo handling, and transportation of hazardous or refrigerated freight. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues swiftly. Experience Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers, preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within local areas. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling equipment. Experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized freight transport is a plus but not required.
