The Aggregate Truck Driver transports sand, gravel, rock, and other aggregate materials to and from designated quarries, Kersten's Trucking Co. locations, customer locations, and job sites throughout the Omaha metro area. This position safely operates side-dump trailers, truck-and-pup combinations, semi-tractors, and other assigned commercial equipment in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner. Essential Functions Safely operate side-dump trailers, truck-and-pup combinations, semi-tractors, and other assigned commercial vehicles and equipment. Work under the direction of dispatch and management to transport aggregate materials between designated quarries, plants, customer locations, and job sites. Safely load, transport, and unload aggregate materials while remaining aware of ground conditions, overhead hazards, traffic patterns, and surrounding personnel. Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, traffic laws, yard speed limits, and operational procedures. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company guidelines. Maintain accurate logs, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, supervisors, quarry personnel, and customers regarding schedules, delays, breakdowns, and operational concerns. Climb in and out of trucks and equipment multiple times per day and climb ladders approximately 10 to 12 feet high when required. Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of assigned equipment, including maintaining a clean and professional truck cab and trailer. Report all accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, equipment damage, and mechanical concerns immediately to management. Maintain company equipment in safe working condition and communicate maintenance needs promptly. Provide professional and courteous service while representing Kersten's Trucking Co. Attend all required safety meetings, production meetings, and company-sponsored training sessions. Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality as essential functions of the position. Read and interpret delivery tickets, safety policies, operating instructions, maps, and route information. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow the direction of dispatch and management and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card. Knowledge of defensive driving practices and safe equipment operation. Physical and mental stamina to perform the essential functions for up to 12 hours per day. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment reference checks, skill assessments, motor vehicle record review, background checks, negative post-offer drug and alcohol testing, and all other applicable DOT requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating side dumps, truck-and-pup combinations, aggregate-hauling equipment, or heavy-haul equipment. Safely enter and exit equipment multiple times daily and climb ladders approximately 10 to 12 feet high when required. Occasionally lift up to 50 to 75 pounds. Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, dust, and other varying weather conditions. Work Environment Primarily works in commercial vehicles, quarries, plants, customer locations, and active job sites with exposure to traffic, weather, dust, noise, uneven terrain, moving equipment, and PPE requirements. Early morning, overtime, weekend, and extended-hour work may be required. This position is safety-sensitive under DOT regulations. Safety Responsibilities Employees are expected to follow all Company and DOT safety requirements, complete required vehicle inspections, wear required PPE, immediately report accidents, incidents, hazards, equipment damage, and mechanical concerns, and participate in required safety meetings and training.

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 - 55.0 per week
