Day shift, Monday - Friday, Home Daily! We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class A Driver to join a leading regional metals and manufacturing distributor. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and securing delivery loads, conducting daily pre/post-trip inspections, and operating planned routes efficiently and safely. Loads are loaded and unloaded via crane or forklift. Flat-bed trailers with a slide-over cover, so no tarping. Key Responsibilities:
Pre- & Post-Trip Duties:
Secure and inspect delivery loads, complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR), and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Route Operations:
Transport products safely along assigned routes, adhering strictly to company timelines and customer service standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Fully comply with all
DOT, FMCSA
(Hours of Service), and local regulations, including Hazmat protocols and equipment safety procedures.
Professional Representation:
Deliver exceptional service, maintain clear communication with dispatch/customers, and resolve on-the-road challenges with adaptability and focus.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensing:
Valid state-issued Driver's License from your state of residence (Class A for tractor-trailer OR Class B for straight truck).
Experience:
Class A Semi Drivers:
Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Class B Straight Truck Drivers:
Verifiable driving experience or formal training.
Driving Record:
Clean, exceptional motor vehicle record (MVR).
Core Skills:
Basic reading, writing, and math proficiency. Strong route planning, map reading, and multi-tasking skills. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Reliability:
Strong commitment to regular attendance, punctuality, and workplace integrity. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, with occasional early morning, evening or weekend flexibility as required.
Pay & Benefits:
