Job Description
About Us:
Highland Ag Services is a growing, full-service retailer dedicated to helping local growers maximize their yields through safe, efficient, and effective application services. As our business expands, we are seeking a Truck Driver to join our team and support our continued growth.Position Overview:
The Truck Driver plays a key role in supporting Highland Ag Service's operations. This may include either tending a sprayer, transporting fertilizer to growers or to our machines, or hauling load to different facilities. Regardless of duties assigned, this candidate is guaranteed to be home nightly. The ideal candidate should be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, strong communication, and willingness to work extended hours (during peak seasons) are essential for success in this position.Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive a company truck
- Work closely with Applicators to ensure efficient operations
- Transport products and supplies as needed
- Assist with loading and unloading products
- Perform basic truck inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Follow all safety, DOT, and company policies and procedures
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
- Assist with loading, mixing, and handling of chemicals as needed
- As other duties are assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work extended hours during our peak season
- Comfortable working in an agricultural environment
- Ability to lift and handle equipment as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Prior knowledge of agricultural or applicator services is a plus but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Class A CDL and HazMat recommended ○ Willing to help the right candidate obtain if needed
