Job Description
Full-Time Highway Laborer/CDL Truck Driver The Town of Boscawen NH has an opening for a full time Highway Department Laborer/CDL Truck Driver. Applicants will operate equipment used in municipal maintenance and construction activities and perform a variety of labor duties utilizing standard hand tools and small power tools. A CDL-B is required or the ability to obtain a CDL-B in 6 months. Applicants will have the responsibility to operate a roll-off truck, recycling equipment, plow trucks, dump trucks, sidewalk plow, lawn mowers, and other light equipment and hand tools. Physical labor will be required with the ability to lift 75 lbs. Summer maintenance includes mowing, trimming, brush and debris clean up, road maintenance, minor vehicle repairs, and other duties as assigned. Maintenance of all Town owned cemeteries and properties, including assistance with funeral services. You may need to assist with sewer system maintenance and repairs. This position requires mandatory overtime in the winter, during emergencies and sewer field operations. The ability to respond within a reasonable time is required. Requires good attendance and a good attitude. This position may be subject to offensive odors from the Transfer Station and sewer.
