Job Description
TRUCK DRIVER / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Kingston Department of Public Works seeks qualified candidates to join our team as a Truck driver/Equipment Operator. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) and benefits eligible position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, operating trucks and equipment to construct, improve and maintain roads and drainage systems; helping grade and set up base for new street construction and building sites; operating trucks to haul materials, plow snow, and clear ice from streets and sidewalks; assisting with installation and maintenance of storm drain systems, and performing routine road maintenance. Other duties as assigned to support the town.Benefits:
Pay range is $26-$29 DOE. Offering short- and long-term disability and excellent health and dental benefits. Support your future with admission into the NH retirement system, as well as PFPOPE a 457 (b) deferred compensation plan which allows for up to $21,000 additional tax-free contribution allowance. We work from 6 AM to 2 PM M-F, allowing for work life balance as well as 16 recognized holidays and vacation time that increases with each year of service. Numerous Overtime opportunities. Sick days are accrued at 8 hours per month of service. Also offering clothing, boot and safety allowances and more.Experience and Education:
Must possess a validCDL B - CDL A
preferred. Increased compensation for plow, mechanical, heavy construction and maintenance experience/ability. High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years' experience in operating trucks and construction equipment.Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Duties typically involve standing, walking, crouching, bending, stooping, and lifting both light and heavy objects. High degree of dexterity needed to operate and maintain job-related tools and equipment. Use of safety and protective equipment frequently required. Work is typically performed outdoors, at times in extreme cold, heat, and inclement weather. A 15-mile response radius to 12 Main St. Kingston, NH is required.Apply:
