Index Packaging is a growing manufacturing company with four New Hampshire facilities and more than 200 employees dedicated to delivering innovative packaging solutions. We're looking for dependable, safety-focused CDL-A Drivers to join our team. What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll safely transport materials and finished products between our facilities, vendors, and customers while helping keep our operations running efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle or company box truck. Completing scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately and on time. Communicating with the Trucking Supervisor regarding schedules, delays, or issues. Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Reporting maintenance concerns and vehicle issues promptly. Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks when needed. Reading packing slips and verifying shipments. Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and driver logs. Securing loads safely using approved methods. Following all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Representing Index Packaging professionally with customers and vendors. Assisting with other duties as needed, including building pallets, cutting lumber, supporting the Woodshop team, and general facility upkeep.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team.
Ideal experience includes:
Valid CDL-A (for Class A drivers). Valid driver's license. Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one if required). At least 21 years of age. Two or more years of commercial driving experience preferred. Clean driving record. Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements. Forklift experience is a plus. Strong communication and time management skills. Commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements:
This is an active position that includes: Frequent driving throughout the day. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Bending, squatting, climbing, and inspecting vehicles. Loading and unloading materials. Regular lifting up to 50 pounds. Operating a vehicle for extended periods, occasionally up to 10-12 hours in a day. No overnight travel. Why Join Index Packaging?
