Responsibilities Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and flatbeds. Safely transport freight to designated locations while ensuring timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Handle loading and unloading of freight as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Strong knowledge of freight transportation regulations and safety protocols. Ability to drive various types of trucks including manual transmission vehicles. Experience with refrigerated trailers and flatbed trucks is a plus.
