Job Description
Essential Functions Transports used products from customers back to plant to be reconditioned. Organizes, secures, and moves products and materials by way of operating equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes. Unloads products and materials from trailers and stores them in an organized fashion in the proper areas of the warehouse/plant. Loads finished goods into trailers according to proper standards, procedures, and customer order directions. Transports products according to standards to avoid damage. Inspects and documents quality and quantity of materials received and delivered. Properly maintains and operates truck. Strictly adheres to safety guidelines. Other duties, as assigned Essential Physical Functions Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Can lift up to 50 lbs. Can transport oneself up and down steps and inclines. Must be able to bend and stretch to access and manually transport tools, equipment, products, boxes and supplies. Need to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax, copy machine, and printer. Can withstand manufacturing working conditions. Physical Demands / Environmental Factors and Conditions All tasks and responsibilities require working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant. - (exposure to disagreeable conditions typical to a manufacturing plant.) When in the plant Personal Protective Equipment includes but is not limited to: safety footwear, eye, head, hearing and hand protection. Performs duties in and around moving mechanical parts. Performs duties in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant. Wet and humid conditions at times. High noise environment. Exposure to dust. May be subject to hazardous chemicals and fumes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required At least 3 years of tractor trailer driving experience Must have high initiative and be self-motivated Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent. Can read, write, and comprehend English. Class A CDL License/Certified HazMat License/Certified TWIC Card Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience without an accident or moving violation.
