In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will contribute significantly to our operational success. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow efficient GPS navigation routes to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups across multiple locations Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling protocols Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety guidelines Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for mechanical issues, load security, and compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in line with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, or tanker trucks is highly desirable Strong manual handling skills for cargo loading/unloading tasks Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems; familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes is essential Ability to adhere to all safety standards while managing logistics cargo handling tasks in a fast-paced environment Join our team as a Driver if you're passionate about safe driving practices, delivering freight efficiently, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
