Duties Drive company vehicles safely to transport AV equipment, tools, and personnel to job sites and event locations. Assist with the installation, setup, and configuration of audiovisual systems including audio, video, control systems, and digital signal processing equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and AV system diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting. Perform routine maintenance, cabling, and mechanical adjustments on AV equipment to guarantee optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues related to audio systems, video conferencing systems operation, control system programming, and software troubleshooting. Implement audio systems in various environments by following technical specifications and engineering best practices. Conduct field service activities including testing electrical circuits (low voltage and telecommunication), using multimeters or voltmeters for precise measurements. Support live event AV production projects by setting up sound reinforcement systems, video displays, and control interfaces. Maintain detailed records of system configurations, repairs, and maintenance activities for future reference. Ensure all AV installations adhere to safety standards and electrical codes while providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Experience Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of audiovisual system installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical schematic reading and interpretation as it relates to AV systems. Hands-on experience with control system programming (AV systems), digital signal processing, and software troubleshooting. Familiarity with low voltage wiring, cabling techniques, mechanical knowledge for equipment mounting, and telecommunication infrastructure. Ability to operate video conferencing systems effectively in various settings. Experience supporting live event AV production projects from setup through operation. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Proficiency with computer hardware related to AV equipment management and network configurations (computer networking). Mechanical aptitude for equipment installation using hand tools; experience reading schematics is highly valued. Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical issues with voltmeters or multimeters is preferred.
