Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating trucks and trailers to transport materials efficiently and safely. Experience in the paving industry is preferred, but we are willing to provide training for candidates eager to learn and grow within this specialized field. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a career in commercial trucking and construction-related transportation. Duties Operate Class A trucks with trailers to deliver materials to various job sites, primarily within the paving industry. Ensure safe and compliant driving practices in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate timely deliveries and pickups. Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, adhering to safety protocols. Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a secure working environment. Help learn industry-specific requirements if not already experienced in paving-related transportation. Experience Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Prior experience operating trucks and trailers is preferred; experience in the paving industry is a plus but not required as training can be provided. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial trucking. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to learn industry-specific procedures related to paving materials transportation.
