Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tractor Trailer / Triaxle Driver, where your expertise will keep goods moving efficiently and safely across diverse routes. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers and triaxle trucks, transporting freight such as sand, gravel, mulch, and specialized cargo. Your skillful driving and meticulous handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an energetic environment for experienced drivers passionate about logistics, transportation, and delivering excellence on every route. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailer and triaxle trucks across over local routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo integrity during transport. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and adapt to traffic or road conditions. Transport a variety of freight. Deliver freight to designated locations with precision, maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers throughout the process. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, specifically with tractor-trailers or triaxle trucks. Strong knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading, and route driving best practices. Familiarity with tractor trailers, flatbeds, dump trailers, walking floor trailers and triaxles, and transporting goods safely. Skilled in manual transmission operation and vehicle manual handling techniques. Ability to utilize GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments. Excellent understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and regulations governing commercial trucking. Exceptional driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving preferred.
