  • Friday, 6:30 AM
  • 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM

PM About Us and Our Program:
Easterseals, a national nonprofit, has supported individuals with disabilities for over 50 years. Its Extended Employment program allows individuals to learn work-readiness skills that will prepare them to work out in the community at an actual job site while earning a paycheck.
What You'll Do:
The Driver provides safe and reliable transportation for individuals with disabilities, helping them reach their destinations and access the services they need.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with the loading and unloading of persons receiving services as required. May lift persons receiving services when working in a setting which provides direct services to persons who are non-ambulant, or who are semi-ambulant, and/or have severe physical disabilities. Complete required forms and documentation to include mileage and maintenance logs, vehicle checks, etc. Make minor adjustments and repairs to vehicle assigned; change and repair tire tubes, check and replenish gasoline, oil and radiator and battery water, and keep the vehicle in clean and safe running condition and available for immediate use. Make periodic safety checks of the vehicle, to check the function of the brakes, condition of tires, exhaust system, drive train, suspension, lights, wipers, horn, exit doors, and other equipment.
Who You Are:
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
Experience:
1 year of experience as a licensed operator of motor vehicle and thorough knowledge of the proper methods of operating the assigned vehicle.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication utilizing the English language.
