Ryder System is hiring a
CDL A OTR
Solo Truck Driver to support our nationwide transportation and logistics network. In this role, you will safely operate a tractor-trailer on over-the-road routes, hauling freight between Ryder facilities, customer locations, and distribution centers. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, DOT-compliant logging, freight securement, and on-time pickups and deliveries. You'll work within Ryder's safety-first culture, interact professionally with customers, and support our high service standards while building a stable driving career with growth potential. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer for OTR solo routes across assigned regions Transport freight between Ryder facilities, customer sites, and distribution centers on schedule Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, logging defects and ensuring DOT compliance Secure, load, and unload freight as required while protecting cargo integrity Accurately maintain electronic logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation Follow all Ryder, customer, and DOT safety policies and procedures Communicate with dispatch on routes, delays, equipment issues, and customer needs Report maintenance needs and support basic truck care and cleanliness Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations Required Skills CDL A truck operation Over-the-road (OTR) driving
